Bio:
Hyde is an expert on the role of archives and special collections in regional studies research, particularly Appalachian Studies. He led efforts to found the Special Collections Committee in the Appalachian Studies Association, and is founding editor of Appalachian Curator, a newsletter about Appalachian Special Collections.
